Thabile’s journey from an aspiring broadcaster to her current position as a weather anchor for NewzRoom Afrika, one of South Africa’s fastest-growing news channels, is a testament to her unwavering commitment to her craft. Reflecting on her journey, she says, “My journey was an interesting one. I graduated from WSU in 2006 and later embarked on an internship with the SABC in 2008. Being curious and ambitious, I heard they were looking for new presenters for a kids’ show called KIDS NEWS. That’s when I decided to try my luck.”
In March 2009, Thabile officially joined SABC as a KID’S NEWS anchor, a role she held for seven years before being promoted to the position of a prime-time weather anchor in 2013. Her relentless determination and dedication to her dream has pushed her to this remarkable achievement, serving as an inspiration to aspiring South African broadcasters, especially those looking to make their mark in the world of media.
