GQEBERHA – South African designer Thando Piliso, Easten Cape designer suffers to worst enemy ‘robbery’, weeks before his fashion show in Ghana. Thando is at a great loss of his designer clothes worth two hundred thousand (R200k) along with his clients, and machinery imported from China.
With 30 employees and 20 part time models this is a major set back for the designer as he is weeks away before his show. The robbery left the designer in a traumatic state, shock and despair, leaving him with no choice but to work at a private venue.
“This is my only source of living”, said Thando Piliso.
Piliso is at home healing from the robbery that caused him trauma, and he said that he will be operating at a different and safer spot that only his clients will get to know.
A case has been opened at Mount Road Police station however seemingly there’s no hope that all the clothes will be recovered in time before the show.
Gqeberha Police urges anyone who has information about the robbery to please come forward.
