EAST LONDON – Eastern Cape Development Corporation(ECDC) has successfully launched their Digital Platform on the 21st July 2023 in East London, this means applicants will be applying from the comfort of their homes, they will no longer be required to apply manually for their business loans.
According to the board member of ECDC Ms. N Pietersen the ECDC has been struggling with answering and meeting everyone’s needs on time, and that has led to people going to the banks which she refers as ‘loan sharks’.
“Our offices will remain open for people who don’t have the required gadgets and internet access, but those who have the gadgets can apply from home,” said Ayanda Wakaba the Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of ECDC.
The CEO of Nelson Mandela Innovation Hub, Darrel Dennis says that the partnership with the ECDC was a welcoming partnership to this program that will make all the process a lot easier for all the entrepreneurs.
This program will help all the SMME’s entrepreneurs lives easier, as it is easy to use. Business owners that are in need of this program are advised to use the digital version, it’s easier and quick to use.
