GQEBERHA – In a groundbreaking move the highly anticipated Nurses and Healthcare Workers Indaba 2023 originally scheduled to take place in East London, was hosted virtually on September 23, 2023. Empilo healthcare and Mbanjwa healthcare joined forces to create an innovative platform that will bring together nurses and healthcare professionals from all corners of the country.
Under the theme ‘Nurse Entrepreneurship’ the indaba highlighted the importance of ethics in the healthcare profession. With the slogan ‘Echoing the Importance of Ethics in Health Profession,’ the event inspired and empowered professionals in their pursuit of excellence.
The virtual lineup boasts an impressive array of speakers including the esteemed founder of Nurturers Nest Private Clinic nurse Mmakomane Khutlang and renowned trainer and coach, Coach Siviwe Mahambehlala and Professional Nurse Zanele Cekiso will also graced the virtual stage providing valuable insights and expertise.
Nurse Zanele Cekiso shared and encouraged other nurses with her story about how she got her success,”As soon as I realized that I am not doing this for money but my passion I started prospering I have a good working relationship with other nurses and that makes it easy for us to uplift each other to greater heights,” .
“Before I opened my practice I worked at this other clinic all I wanted to do is get paid and go home, I even lost momentum. During my time working at this facility many patients were not getting help they needed thus I opened my practice to help them,” founder of Nurturers Nest nurse Mmakomane Khutlang.
This groundbreaking virtual session provided a unique opportunity for nurses and healthcare workers nationwide to attend from the comfort and safety of their own space. By eliminating geographical barriers the Nurses Indaba ensured that knowledge and inspiration are accessible to all ultimately raising the standard of healthcare in the country.
